HICARE cryogenic suit for handling liquid nitrogen, LNG and other cryogens: a waterproof coated polyamide outer, polyolefin/polyester microfibre insulation and a soft polyester lining, made for -120°C to -190°C work.
HICARE cryogenic suit
Liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, LNG and other cryogenic liquids are so cold that a splash freezes skin almost instantly. A cryogenic suit keeps that splash and the cold vapour away from the body. The HICARE suit is made in three layers:
Outer: woven polyamide with a waterproof coating that resists condensation and cryogenic splash.
Middle: special polyolefin / polyester microfibre insulation.
Inner: soft polyester lining for comfort over long shifts.
The maker lists it for work from -120°C to -190°C. It is used in gas filling plants, hospitals and IVF and blood banks, labs, cold chain and aerosol units.
