Burst steam lines, boiler blowdown and hot oil splash cause some of the worst burns in process plants. The Steamsafe splash protection suit from HICARE is a coat and pant made of an aramid based coated fabric, about 750 g/m² in the outer shell, that keeps hot liquid and steam off the skin. The maker rates it for hot liquid splash up to about 350°C.
Adjustable straps and an ergonomic cut keep it secure while leaving room to move. Used in boiler houses, refineries, edible oil and food processing plants, sugar mills, chemical and pharma plants.
