Vertex rubber speed breaker for roads and parking areas

The Vertex rubber speed breaker is a modular speed bump made of moulded rubber pieces that are joined across the road. It slows vehicles at gates, internal roads, parking ramps, school entries and loading areas. Rubber is a popular choice because it is fixed on top of the existing surface, without digging, and a damaged piece can be swapped on its own.

It sits with our other speed breakers in the road safety equipment range from Vertex. Use the buttons above to pick the model and the piece.

Middle section or end cap: what you need

  • Middle section: the main hump. Sections are placed side by side to cover the width of the road, so this is the piece you need most of.
  • End cap: a shorter piece with a sloped end. One goes at each end of the row, so a single speed breaker normally needs two end caps. It gives a neat finish at the kerb and keeps the edge from being a sharp step for tyres and feet.

To work out the number of pieces, measure the road width you want to cover, take off the two end caps, and fill the rest with middle sections. Send us the width and we will work out the count for the model you choose.

Choosing the model

The five models differ mainly in height: V100 is 45 mm, V10, V150 and V200 are 50 mm, and V20 is 75 mm. A lower hump gives a gentler slow-down for cars and two-wheelers on society and campus roads. The taller 75 mm model gives a firmer check where traffic tends to rush, such as factory gates and service roads. Width and piece length differ between models, so ask for the details of the one you pick.

Fixing and care

Rubber speed breakers are usually fixed to the road with anchor bolts through holes moulded into each piece. Fix them on a clean, firm surface and check the bolts from time to time. Pair them with road studs or delineators where the spot needs more warning at night.

Frequently asked questions

Still not sure which option fits your site? Ask us and we will suggest the right one.

Ask on WhatsApp
How many speed breaker pieces do I need for my road?

Two end caps plus as many middle sections as it takes to fill the width between them. The exact count depends on the model, so share the road width and we will calculate it.

Can I buy end caps separately?

Yes. Middle sections and end caps are listed as separate options, so you can also order spares or replacements.

Which height is right for a housing society?

Many societies choose a 45 mm or 50 mm model for a gentle slow-down. The 75 mm model suits spots where vehicles need a firmer check.

Do the pieces of different models fit together?

Pieces are made to join with others of the same model. Use one model across a single speed breaker.
